How does Damon Braces work?
Damon braces can take up to an hour to fit, with the dentist initially required to glue to brackets to the teeth. Once these brackets are in place, special wires are fitted within them and secured through the use of small clips.
The Damon brace takes advantage of something called a self-ligating system. In previous brace designs, elastics applied tension to the teeth. However, in this design, a slide mechanism which has been proven to move teeth quicker and cause less discomfort
