What is the best way to put teeth back that have been moved because of tongue thrusting?

Q.

Hi doctor I do hope you can help. Do you know the best way to put teeth back that have been moved because of tongue thrusting? I have had the problem for pretty much all of my life and so my front teeth stick out more because of it. I do not like my smile and would love to have a straight one for once. However, if the inman aligner is for me and i have it straightened what do i do afterwards? I mean my tongue will still be ‘doing its thing’ so to speak, how do i stop all the work being erased once `i have finished with the brace?

very much hope you can help me with this!

Hello thanks. Whatever type of orthodontics you have, the key is to have a fixed bonded retainer.
If this is done your teeth will not move-
You can even have a thin clear retainer that fits over the top to wear at night –
this way they will never move

Inman can treat cases like this but it depends on severity
