Is the Inman Aligner the best treatment for the gap between my front teeth?

Q.

My two front teeth have always been widely set apart. In my teens I was able to deal with this because I plainly didn’t care that much. If I could go back I would get the braces right there and then at a time when it would just be one of those things as a teenager to do. Now I hear many adults are getting braces but it is still something that makes me cringe at the thought of it. Are systems like the Inman aligner really so discreet? On all these webpages it says it is but how much so would you say? Also, my condition of the front tooth gap – is this something that the Inman aligner is able to deal wuith relatively easy? Treatment time for this kind of problem? Or would you even go on to advise a different treatment? I hope you can guide me on this. Thanks,

A.

Hello.

Firstly Inman Aligners can only treat teeth with gaps if they are proclined ( they stick out)
If your teeth are upright and the space is large, they cannot be dragged across.-
If they stick out but have gaps ,as they are pulled back the gaps close down.

Inman Aligners are often picked by adults for the very reason that they are removable- and only need to be worn 16-18 hours a day.
They are quite bulky and affect your speech but the fact that they are so fast often compensates for this.

its quite discreet because it has a clear bow, but it can be seen if anyone looks closely enough.

If your gap is suitable and the aligner would work, normally most cases complete between 8-16 weeks.

If it is not suitable, then yes of course, look at invisalign, or even hidden fixed braces (on the back of your teeth)

hope this helps
